Mobile phone giants, T-Mobile have become official partners with esports superstars Cloud9 and Team SoloMid. A statement on Team SoloMid’s website says: “We’ll work together on a number of moments throughout the year to give esports fan more access to the sport they love. TSM is excited to work with T-Mobile, and looks forward to growing even stronger and having a successful year with the Un-carrier.“
T-Mobile will serve as the official wireless, mobile, and cellular data provider for the teams. This is not the first time T-Mobile has dipped into esport and gaming sponsorship, having been involved in the FGC event which took place at E3 this year. Cloud9 alone have teams covering a large array of games, including League of Legends, Dota 2, Hearthstone, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Vainglory and CSGO.
