Ubisoft have posted a blog stating the current count of players on Rainbow Six Siege, stating that they’ve hit a very impressive milestone of 20 million. This update also comes with a figure of 2.3 million players online every day.
“Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay,” says Nicolas Lefebvre, Product Director at Ubisoft. “The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong.”
When Rainbow Six Siege came out, it became quite popular but was not without many flaws and issues that hampered a lot of players, such as spawn peakers, people jumping outside, team killing, hit registration is off quite a bit and of course, that trope that comes with any major online game, abusive players. But Ubisoft have dedicated efforts to improving these frustrating in-game occurrences where possible, activating what they call Operation Health, an initiative undertaken by the development team to have a progressive series of fixes and upgrades.
The game is thriving well for content creators also, with people sharing their recorded in-game funny moments and skilled execution campaigns.
