Paris Games Week
by - November 2, 2016 in

Sun, croissants, video games and a great crowd. Sounds like Paris Games Weekend just wrapped up. DingIt TV attended the event, met a lot of gaming fans, eSport enthusiasts and the teams behind some major games like Dishonored 2 and Call of Duty.

The event was held yet again at Porte de Versailles, which is a great venue in terms of layout and spacing and staff. It’s not hard to see upon entering the building, why PGW is one of the most entertaining and favored, events in Europe. It’s climbing the fun charts each year.

Some of the most popular games at the convention where – The Surge, Little Nightmares, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3.

Battlefield 1 has a gigantic space that held 64 players and was by far one of the most consistently jam packed sections that held peoples attention.

Meltdown hosted matches on League of Legends and Rocket League, where both pulled in a good crowd but League of Legends was a big hit by far. The Overwatch Lounge was a cosy space for people to play in teams with their friends or with people they’ve met at the con.

As with all conventions, there was plenty of merchandise to zap your money bags. Clothes, bags, japanese body pillows, gaming weapon replicas and high end tech, supplied by Logitech and more. If you happened to be interested in getting a VR set, then Pavillion 2 would have been the place to be, with Sony and HTC pushing their head pieces.

PGW spared no expense when it came to eSports, giving an entire pavillion to the genre and catering to a lot of fans with their game selections, gaming areas and plenty of well placed screens for spectators.
