Riot have announced the 10 teams selected for the permanent partnership structure of the “League of Legends” North American League Championship Series — including four backed by NBA.
The teams that have been entered are: 100 Thieves, Clutch Gaming, Golden Guardians, OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, FlyQuest, Echo Fox, Team SoloMid, Counter Logic Gaming and Team Liquid
The 10 teams have ponied up $10 million each for a franchise-fee payment to Riot Games. Four new teams are putting in another $3 million apiece, to provide a payment sum to the teams that will not be taking part in the league next year. Those teams being: Immortals, Team EnVyUs’ Team Envy, Team Dignitas and Phoenix.
