eSports Audience Award is live for BAFTA Games

Great news everybody! The following games have been nominated for the eSport Audience Award category at this years BAFTA games:


League of Legends
Dota 2
Street Fighter V
Clash Royale

The winner will be revealed at the BAFTA Awards on Thursday 6th of April at London’s Tobacco Dock. Last year the award went to Smite!



Nick Button-Brown, Chair of BAFTA’s Games Committee said: “The British Academy Games Awards is about celebrating creativity and excellence of the very best of Games. Esports is such an exciting area of our industry, we are delighted to be able to celebrate, in our ceremony, the games that make esports great.”

The purpose of the Audience Award is to give recognition to videos games that ‘captured the hearts and imaginations of players and audiences’ over the past year particulalry within the esports genre


Christian Dotzauer, AMD’s Sr. Manager EMEA & APJ, made a statement: “AMD is thrilled to continue our commitment to esports with this award and through our sponsorship of professional gaming teams such as Evil Geniuses and Splyce.”
