by - September 8, 2017 in

Blizzard Entertainment next month will open their own Arena in Los Angeles, which will serve as a dedicated e-sports competition space which will host the inaugural season of the Overwatch League.

Blizzard Arena Los Angeles will officially open on Oct. 7, with the Overwatch Contenders Season 1 Playoffs. That event will be followed by the Hearthstone Championship Tour’s Summer Championship on Oct. 13, followed by the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals and World of WarcraftArena Championship.

The studio itself, located in Burbank, California, has some fame already around it as it’s where “The Tonight Show” was recorded back in the days of the legendary Johnny Carson and the well known Jay Leno. How much the lease will cost Blizzard is unconfirmed, but speculation is coming in at $20 million.
