Despite ups and downs happening all the time in the gaming industry, you can’t deny that for the most part it’s full of amazing events and wonderful people. This past weekend in London was a strong living example of that, because many amazing human beans and a small green Yoshi man took part in a 10k Race to support Special Effect!
All the participants had raised money through their own fundraising campaigns, in order to donate and let Special Effect work their magic and help gamers from all over be able to enjoy their favorite hobby and have a laugh. Gaming companies also got stuck in, with Bethesda, IGN UK and more.
Dingit.tv sponsored the event and also provided some funky super power water to help reinvigorate people on their run and when they got to the finish line, though we suspect the glasses of bubbly were even more helpful when it came to cooling down, given what a scorching day it was.
Over £20,000 was raised!! So once again, a massive thank you to everyone that came out to the 10k event. No one could have done more or asked for more. Always delighted to know so many amazing people and be part of helping Special Effect!
